Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:
In practice for over 26 years, working with individuals, couples, families and groups,
Trish offers a mature outlook, seasoned skills and a warm, compassionate presence.
She believes that unresolved and often unrecognized emotional pain from childhood, may resurface in adult life in many forms, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addictions, chronic pain, and lack of self-worth.
One of the most effective ways she has found to help achieve and maintain positive change, centres on a body-mind approach. Instead of trying to work things out only in their heads, clients learn to notice what is also happening at other levels of their awareness and by responding to these subtle signals, to connect to a restored sense of resilience, balance and flow.
Trish is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with an M.A. from SFU and Advanced Level Certification from the Canadian Foundation for Trauma Research and Education. A faculty member at the Haven Institute, she has presented her workshops in Asia as well as many parts of Canada.
