Signe Wiingaard is a clinical associate of The Shanti Counselling Centre. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and is also registered as a Psychologist with the Danish Association of Psychologists.

In addition to her clinical work, Signe has presented university and community workshops, has taught university courses, and is currently on a research team at the University of British Columbia. She is fluent in both English and Danish.

Signe’s work has been in the areas of dieting and eating problems, mindfulness, sexuality, career and study doubts, depression, anxiety, body-image, and stress. She has a very warm and compassionate presence and provides a non- judgmental environment to help clients discuss therapeutic issues. She is devoted to an open therapeutic approach where she incorporates cognitive, existential, narrative, and meditative methods into her practice.
