I am a registered clinical counsellor with twenty years experience counselling, children, adolescents, families, couples and individuals.  I  believe that there is usually a good reason for the way people act when faced with difficult, challenging and traumatic experiences even when their thoughts and behaviours might be self defeating or self destructive. I work  with depression, anxiety, anger, grief, relationship issues and identity crisis (cultural or personal).

Many clients suffering from anxiety have been successfully helped by my  approach which combines cognitive behaviour therapy and a deeper understanding of the mechanism behind anxiety. I help  couples work through their difficulties so that they can enjoy healthier relationships.

I use play-therapy with children to help them with issues such as: reactions to parental separation, anxiety, depression and aggressive behaviours.  I  also gives parents strategies and insight to assist them with parenting challenges.

I believe that it is important for my clients to feel that they have a supportive environment to explore their issues in,  while they gain understanding and learn new strategies to deal with life in their own ways.
