Dr. Reimer grew up in Kelowna and received his education in BC, Europe and the USA. He was a prison chaplain and a teacher in Belgium for 11 years, and he has taught at the college level in BC. He has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups in various settings, as both a student and professional, for over 25 years. He writes a weekly article for a Kelowna information website.

Dr. Reimer is familiar with a wide range of therapeutic approaches including EMDR, energy approaches, cognitive behavioural therapy and pastoral approaches. He offers spiritual counselling when requested by the client.
Dr. Reimer has expertise with issues of abuse, addictions, anger, depression (and other mental illnesses), grief, trauma, PTSD, and relationship concerns. As a counsellor, community volunteer and leader, Dr. Reimer is committed to helping people experience more peace and happiness and to achieve their goals of discovering, restoring, and/or maintaining a sense of wholeness, balance, and healthiness in their emotional life and their relationships.
