Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:

Shelley is a Registered Clinical Counsellor having acquired a M.A. in Counselling Psychology following her B.A. in Child and Youth Care. Since 1994, she has worked in the helping profession in a variety of areas and agencies. Her beginning years focused on working with youth considered ‘at risk’ and then shifted to family work including both children and youth. She continues to be passionate about providing ethical and effective client directed work.

Using a family systems approach, Shelley attempts to understand people in their contexts so to better match the counselling process with their needs and belief systems. Depending on the identified concern, she works with individuals, couples, and/or the whole family. Shelley believes everyone has the capacity for wellness and sometimes counselling helps people find solutions and discover their internal/family resources to bring about resolution to presenting concerns.

Shelley would be happy to hear from you by phone or e-mail to answer questions or to book an appointment.
