Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:

Pamela has expertise in helping adults who have a neurological / personality trait called sensory processing sensitivity, otherwise known as the Highlly Sensitive Person (HSP) trait. She has found that these people describe 2 main problems in their lives:

  1. feeling overwhelmed by an overstimulating environment and
  2. being misunderstood by others.

Taking an educational and supportive approach, Pamela uses her understanding of this trait & her personal experience of it, to tailor the work specifically to each person and what they want to create in their lives. Typical goals she has helped HSP's with include career / workplace satisfaction, decision-making, dealing with procrastination, anxiety, fear of conflict, reducing interpersonal sensitivity, perfectioninsm, finding ways to be understood, balancing self-protection vs exploration, self-acceptance, using their strengths of perceptiveness, deep thinking, compassion, vivid imagination, creativity, conscientiousness, and subtle leadership skills. She has been teaching seminars to the public on topics relating to this trait as well as providing college counselling, instructing, and workplace training.
