Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:

Pam believes that everyone, regardless of circumstances, can experience a much great degree of happiness. Counselling provides clients the insight and encouragement to move forward. The process is one of gentleness and curiosity; insight and integration.

The role of therapy is not to create change but to discover where change is already occurring and amplify it and enable clients to draw on inherent resources for becoming whole. Clients are not seen as sick or damaged but temporarily unable to overcome a life difficulty. We build on strengths, competence and good intentions. We discover what helps and what hinders.

Pam's approach is holistic. We explore thoughts, feelings, beliefs, behaviours, relationships and circumstances. We explore the past (when it sheds light on current concerns), the present and the future,

Counselling methods include: Solution-Oriented, Mindfullness-based, Cognitive and Psychodynamic therapies.

Pam works with a diverse range of adults. She has advanced training in treating complex PTSD and counts as clients many social service and healthcare workworkers.
