Dr. Swart is a Registered Psychologist (#1615) and AASECT Board Certified Sex therapist with more than 15 years experience in individual and couple counselling. Her clients present a wide variety of issues including: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, grief/loss, trauma and relationship challenges.

She is particularly interested in helping couples and individuals who are experiencing difficulties with sexual desire, inhibitions in sexual expression, sexual avoidance/aversion, difficulties with orgasm, lack of desire, pain during intercourse, erection difficulties, premature ejaculation, delayed ejaculation, and sexual identity and/or sexual orientation issues.

Some common concerns that bring couples into therapy may include: communication and intimacy problems, extramarital affairs, conflict resolution, adjustment to separation or divorce, or concerns about sex drive.

Treatment can be brief or long-term and can include goal directed therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR and systems work with couples.
