Majie Lavergne is a Registered Clinical Counselor and obtained his Master's degree in Counselling at Naropa University (Colorado). He is also a Certified in Hakomi Therapy, in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SPI), in Gestalt Therapy and a Professional Art Therapist (CATA). In addition, Majie received extensive training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Play Therapy.

Majie's primary areas of practice are trauma therapy for adults and therapy for children, teenagers and their families.

When working with trauma, Majie interfaces a somatic approach (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy), EMDR and IFS according to each client's needs. His body-mind approach is client-centered and effective to reduce and/or eliminate the emotional pain often stored in the body.

When working with children and teenagers Majie combines Art and Play Therapy. He believes that to create an engaging, fun and creative form of counselling is key to successful therapy with children and teenagers. Majie's work on teenage trauma has been published and he has presented internationally in various professional conferences.
