Monica Kingsbury is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in private practice in the View Royal area of Victoria, BC. She obtained a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoira in 1991.

Her focus is working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Frequently this involves the loss of a primary relationship.

Monica has 19 years of experience counselling in various settings such as the Women's Sexual Assault Center and Employee Assistance Programs, as well as private practice.

She has an integrative therapeutic approach which draws from her experience and understanding of Buddhist psychology, Mindfulness meditation and stress reduction, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing and Somatic Transformation ( Body/Mind/Spirit).

Her practice has been greatly influenced by the teachings of Virginia Satir, Jon Kabat-Zinn and Thich Nhat Hanh.
