Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:

Les has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from U.B.C and has been in private practice for more than 20 years. He is a Registered Psychologist through the College of Psychologists of B.C. He works with adult individuals and couples for a variety of problems.

His approach is broadly based on the belief that symptoms (like anxiety or depression) do not usually need to “be declared war on.” Rather they should most often be regarded as messages that something is amiss in the person for a good reason given their life experiences.

He uses several therapy approaches in keeping with this belief including: psychodynamic, EMDR, ego state therapy, and EFT (emotionally focused therapy) for couples.

He brings a wide range of interests and life experiences as a therapist being the parent of two adult children; having in the past worked in management (he has a B.Com) and as an analytical chemist (he also has a B.Sc.); and with a deep interest in music and the arts.
