Lee Cassels attained her MA in Counselling Psychology at Simon Fraser University in 1993. Prior to that, she had a fulfilling career as an elementary school teacher working with the Burnaby School District. Once her MA was completed she became an elementary school counsellor in Burnaby. Her work in the school system was multifacetted and involved supporting families struggling with an array of different issues. In addition, Lee has worked with community counselling agencies helping families through separation and divorce, grief due to death and trauma

Lee uses a variety of proven therapeutic approaches including cognitive behaviour therapy, solution focused therapy and family systems therapy. Additional training in areas of trauma, critical incident debriefing, art, play and filial play therapy helps Lee assist children, teens and adults address emotional issues of concern.

The counselling offered by Lee is caring and sensitive, designed for both positive and prompt results. Lee enjoys working with families to strengthen the bonds between the members and help the individuals grow.
