Kai-Lin Yang is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. He received his Master in Counselling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He uses the clinically proven techniques of Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt and Transpersonal Therapy to help individuals, couples and families deal with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relationship problems, GLBT issues and grief. In addition to individual counselling services he provides group counselling, life integration coaching and works with individuals on issues of spirituality.

His approach is humanistic, non-judgmental, and client-centered. His influences include Existential and Expressive Arts Therapy, as well as Buddhist and Taoist philosophy. Kai-Lin also provides services in Chinese. Evening and weekend office hours are available.

His private practice currently includes university affiliated counsellor trainees (students) offering low fee counselling.
