Ken Langford is a registered psychologist and an experienced teacher having taught from kindergarten to college level. He has worked in a variety of settings, ranging from a mental health facility, to the public schools system, and latterly, private practice.

A cognitive behavioural, solution focused approach is used. Over the years, in public service and private practice, Ken has successfully dealt with a range of problems including dyslexia, learning disabilities, beginning reading, behaviour management, phobias (including school phobias), selective mutism and Tourette's Syndrome. Psychological/ Educational assessments are offered, including those for French Immersion students.

When counselling, Ken takes a pragmatic approach, with an emphasis on developing an action plan.

A one hour initial meeting is scheduled to explore the presenting problem or problems, to decide the best course of action and to discuss an initial plan.
