Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:

Kathy works with children and families. She uses play therapy with children who have emotional or behavior problems, or who have gone through a difficult or traumatic experience. During play therapy, children are seen in a special playroom where they can safely express their feelings, obtain relief from these feelings, and work out strategies for dealing with their problems.
Kathy also works closely with parents who may be feeling overwhelmed by their child’s problems. She provides coaching and counselling services to parents, supporting them in expressing their concerns, learning new parenting approaches, and gaining more confidence in their parenting skills.

In addition, Kathy provides family counselling services where she works with families together in order to strengthen relationships between family members. Kathy also offers a unique approach known as filial play therapy where parents learns basic play therapy skills for use with their children at home.
