The main theme running throughout Dr. Jo-Anne Stoltz's work is the aim of reducing stress, conflict, and turmoil, and increasing peace and harmonious relationships. Jo-Anne holds a PhD in Counselling Psychology, and is certified with the Canadian Counselling Association. Her private practice work focuses on: stress, depression, addictions, couples counselling, conflict, and parent/adolescent relationships. Jo-Anne's therapeutic style is direct and supportive, and she has 10 years' experience as a practitioner in Victoria.

Jo-Anne also offers a range of consulting services, including: conflict resolution (family, workplace, community), research and evaluation, group facilitation, community dialogue, and change management. In 2007, Jo-Anne travelled to Burundi, Africa, to volunteer her time in the area of trauma and peace building.

Jo-Anne has been teaching at the University of Victoria for 10 years as well, and is an Adjunct Professor there. She teaches in two graduate programs: counselling, and dispute resolution, and has supervised graduate students at Royal Roads University.
