Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:

Judith Beale M.A., is a Registered Psychological Associate with an office in Kitsilano, Vancouver and is fully licensed with the College of Psychologists of B.C. (CPBC) #1612. Judith has provided Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology to adults – individuals and couples for a range of problem issues, for over 23 years.

Judith sees adults who identify their problems with common mental health labels such as:

· Depression ·Grief · Loss · Anxiety · Guilt · Intimacy Problems

· Infidelity · Relationship Conflicts – Family, Spouse or Work

· Trauma · Identity Issues · Low Self Esteem· Life Transitions

She encourages clients to describe their problems in real life terms using everyday language. Descriptions may resemble experiences like: not knowing ones self anymore; unable to open up to others; feeling like things are falling apart; worrying over everything; not enjoying life; feeling artificial or false. When problems are viewed and appreciated as part of one’s life as a whole, important discoveries can occur, leading to resolutions, change and growth. Judith views problems in the context of the Whole Person while respecting the need to have some early “symptom” relief.

In addition to moving beyond painful problems and repetitive disappointing patterns, therapy can contribute to the emergence of something new that coheres and unifies ones sense of self and relationships. Judith provides both long and short- term therapy from a Relational Psychodynamic perspective. She also integrates other established approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural, Developmental, and Family Systems.

Services from a CPBC Registrant may be partially covered by Extended Health Plans.
