Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:

Graeme works with families and couples and with people in other relationships such as parents and children, or friends. The goal for relationship work is to help people create a mutually satisfying way to be happy and fulfilled as individuals and as partners.

Individual work involves dealing with problems from childhood issues, and with current family or work issues. Unfinished business and unresolved past conflicts often cause people to continue in behaviour patterns that may lead to depression, anxiety, or problems in relationships.

Graeme also works with families and individuals who are experiencing problems with addiction. Everyone in a family suffers if family members abuse substances, or inappropriately uses behaviours such as gambling, sex, or work to distance themselves from feelings of vulnerability and to escape from the realities of life. Understanding the Addiction Cycle and the part one plays in it becomes an important goal in the counselling process.
