Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:

Gillian assists adults who are struggling with relationship issues. This includes individuals and couples in the process of separation and divorce, and, in her new venture, grandparents who are raising grandchildren and finding it challenging. She helps promote understanding of why we often "mis-hear" the important messages we give one another so that we can begin to clarify underlying problems and move on to develop healthier relationships.

Gillian's philosophy grows from a combination of professional and personal interests. A Registered Clinical Counsellor with a B.A. in psychology (SFU), and an M.Ed. in counselling psychology (UBC), she has been counselling individuals and couples for more than 12 years. She is an experienced family life educator and group facilitator, and her workshops have included such topics as: becoming single again, midlife transitions, and grandparenting today.

Married for 36 years, which included a period of separation, she has raised two children with her husband, and is grandmother to two granddaughters.
