Dr. McArter has been in private practice since receiving her MA in Counselling Psychology in 1990. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology in 2002.

Gloria is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors and a Certified Canadian Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling Association. She is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and appears on the Canadian Registry. Gloria has a B.Ed. degree and is an experienced educator, group facilitator and public speaker. She has a Certificate in Management Development and has worked in the business sector.

Gloria brings her many years of varied experience, respect for human dignity, and empathic and trusting manner to the counselling relationship. She encourages individuals, couples and families to make effective choices in resolving personal, relationship and workplace issues.
