Gwen Bevan has been counselling individuals, couples and families for over 12 years. She has a Masters in Social Work and is a Registered Social Worker. In addition to private practice, she is the Coordinator of Pacific Spirit Family and Community Services at UBC where she supervises practicum students and provides counselling and community services.

Gwen takes a feminist approach providing a nurturing and supportive environment to assist in the healing from trauma, abuse, grief and loss, anxiety, relationship, adoption, post-abortion and other related issues. She works with her clients to find effective therapeutic methods such as: art work, solution-focused therapy, family therapy, family of origin work and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is also a certified yoga instructor and incorporates body work and yoga into her sessions. Gwen practices in a comfortable setting which includes a play therapy room and space for all ages to do creative healing work.
