Elizabeth Demeter, Ph.D. is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with offices in UBC and Vancouver

Elizabeth is solution focused in her approach. She uses the most appropriate therapeutic procedure that is relevant for her clients. She may use cognitive restructuring and creative techniques to promote her clients' well-being and growth.

Elizabeth has extensive training and experience in individual and couple therapies and personality assessments. She offers short term therapy to adults who wish to quickly alleviate their current emotional difficulties, or to learn basic skills to help to cope with current life stressors. She also offers long term counseling to clients who wish to do more in-depth work on unresolved issues/conflicts originating in the past and which affect their functioning in relationships and/or at work. She also conducts legal assessments and prepares formal reports for lawyers. She gave 20 lectures and published 14 articles including one book chapter. She has a Ph.D in clinical psychology and she is in her private practice since 1986.
