As a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, Diana holds a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. She has post-graduate training in Narrative therapy and Imago Relationship therapy. In addition to her formal education, she has lived extensively in various parts of the world which enhanced her cross cultural perspective in counselling. Diana has an extensive record of successfully helping people overcome many issues including relationship dissatisfaction, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, life transitions, low self-esteem, stress, and grief and loss. Her office is centrally located in Vancouver.

Diana is very passionate about helping her clients reclaim their mental and emotional well being. Her compassion creates a supportive atmosphere in which her clients can safely embark on a journey of self-exploration to help them understand their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. She is encouraging and empathic which helps her clients to feel safe as the work on making changes in their lives. She practices humanistic counselling whereby the underlying belief is that everyone has the potential for creativity, love, growth and psychological health. The idea that ‘the individual is an expert in their own life’ is the foundation of the therapeutic work that Diana engages in with her clients. Based on this idea, she is committed to helping clients believe in their inherent wisdom and discover their strengths.

Diana has years of experience helping children, youth, adults, and couples. She has counselled in: substance abuse recovery residential facilities; transition houses for women leaving abusive relationships; non-profit community agencies; elementary schools for ‘at-risk’ children; and private practices for counselling couples and individuals experiencing problems in their relationships.
