Danielle Duplassie is the Founder and Director of The Shanti Counselling Centre. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and is currently pursuing doctoral studies at the University of British Columbia. In addition to her clinical and doctoral work, Danielle has taught University courses at UBC and regularly presents workshops in the community.

Although Danielle has a wide variety of experience, her extensive work has been in the areas of relational and family distress, sexuality issues and concerns, psychological and vocational assessments, various forms of addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress.

Danielle is a very warm and compassionate individual who believes in the importance of providing a non-judgmental environment to discuss therapeutic issues. She uses a variety of clinical interventions, including Emotionally Focused, Cognitive Behavioural, Gestalt, and Narrative Therapies.
