Cynthia Coyle has worked in the field of counselling since 1984 and has been in private practice since 1993, counselling individuals, couples, and adolescents.

With an extensive background in addictions, Cynthia works with alcoholic/addicts, spouses and family members, adults who have grown up with an addicted parent, and individuals and couples in recovery.

In addition, Cynthia has worked for many years with clients who are struggling in life with grief. depression , anxiety, relationships, sexuality, self esteem, trauma , and more.

Therapy draws on several modalities as noted in the list of approaches. Over the last ten years Cynthia has been actively training in a mind/body model of therapy called Self-Relations Psychotherapy developed by Stephen Gilligan Ph.D., who was a student of Milton Erickson and Gregory Bateson.

Cynthia has presented mini workshops for the Pacific Institute on Addictions Studies and also taught courses in counselling skills at Vancouver Community College.

Cynthia's commitment is to continue to learn and work with mindfull compassion.
