Carey‘s main focus is helping stepfamilies that are struggling in chaos and confusion to live together harmoniously and successfully. However, over the past 20 years she has counselled all types of families who have wanted to develop and maintain a nurturing and healthy home life.
Carey educates and assists families in understanding and resolving the many challenges that stepfamily living can bring. She uses a variety of strategies and techniques in her work with families but ultimately she credits the trust, strength and perseverance of the stepfamily for their success.
Carey holds an MSW from UBC with extensive training and experience in working with families.
