Additional Information about this counsellor or psychologist:

Barbara McGregor, Registered Clinical Counsellor, has an eclectic approach that accommodates each person’s unique needs, challenges and style. Her special interests are in life transitions, relationship concerns and trauma recovery.

A life transition, even when needed, may be painful and challenging. It can be a time of loss and rebuilding, of facing fears and uncertainty. With compassion, insight and humour, Barbara helps clients let go of what was, accept what is and create what can be.

Barbara also works with individuals and couples facing relationship concerns, from minor glitches to major crises. She helps clients experience new ways to connect, communicate, enjoy, and tackle the hard parts. And, if they are unable to repair their relationship, to say good-bye with kindness, care and respect.

Barbara’s third area of special interest is trauma recovery, whether from childhood abuse or from more recent experiences. She helps clients develop positive coping skills while they gently explore the trauma and begin to heal from its emotional and physical aftereffects.
