I am interested in the processes of change and acceptance; individual, relational and social. My desire is to help people make the changes they want in their lives and relationships. As everyone is unique, I work closely with each person to determine what they want, the best way to get there, and how to deal with barriers that might arise along the way. This can happen by moving through limiting beliefs, feelings and behaviours, enhancing present strengths and developing new skills, and/or working through the impact of past trauma. I am trained in a number of methods that can help people reach their goals including EMDR, Focusing Orientated Therapy, Solution-Orientated Approaches and couples counselling,

I have worked with heterosexual, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender individuals and couples for the past 18 years in a variety of settings including Family Services of Greater Vancouver, as a therapist, Vancouver Community College, as an instructor, and in my own private practice. I currently work primarily in Nelson and also see clients in Vancouver on a bi-monthly basis in person and continue the work by Skype or phone between face to face sessions.
