Joanne Leithead is a registered psychologist. She has practiced counselling and psychotherapy in Toronto and Vancouver since 1989. In addition to receiving an M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto, she has completed extensive training in the treatment of adults, including a four year internship and residency program in counseling and supervision (Toronto, 1992), a five year psychoanalytic psychotherapy training program (Vancouver, 2005), and a trauma treatment program (JIBC ,Vancouver, 1998).

She works with men, women and couples experiencing a wide variety of difficulties in living, including, family history issues, anxiety, bereavement, relationship problems, trauma and depression. She currently has a private practice in Vancouver and supervises students for the Simon Fraser University Clinical Psychology Centre.

Services are deductible as medical expenses and may be covered by extended health plans.
