Judith Beale M.A. is a Registered Psychologist (CPBC 1612)  fully licensed for private practice in  Vancouver, B.C.  In her Kitsilano location she provides psychotherapy and counselling to Adult Men and Women – Individuals and Couples. Her fees may be partially covered by Extended Health Plans and are not taxable.

Judith appreciates the importance of finding the “right” Psychologist/therapist to work with, which includes consideration of credentials and experience but also a good connection formed early in the therapy.  Below, is a very brief summary of her practice, however to get a more accurate picture of Judith and her way of working, she recommends you explore her “ reader friendly” and visually engaging website Home Page and links on:

Judith has over 23 years of experience working extensively with Relationship Concerns, Intimacy, Self Esteem and Identity Issues, Depression and Anxiety, Life Transitions and Personal Growth. In her work with couples and individuals, many express deep yearnings for closeness but are confused about the walls and barriers they create that prevent what they desire most.  Judith works with her clients to discover and understand painful, often repetitive patterns so that new ways of relating can develop. She is committed to working collaboratively toward positive lasting changes in how clients feel about themselves and the people in their lives. Judith works from theoretical and clinical perspectives that respect complexity, wholeness and the importance of developing capacities to relate intimately and fully.  Her practise is not suited to brief therapy approaches of 4-6 sessions only.

Other areas she frequently addresses with her clients include:

  • Identity /Sexuality Development
  • Grief, Loss, Separation
  • Guilt , Self Blame
  • Anger Expression

Judith can be reached at 604-224-6236.
