I am a Registered Psychologist (#1412) with the College of Psychologists of BC.  My clinical focus is psychotherapy with adults and adolescents who are suffering from symptoms of trauma, anxiety, stress, and depression.

Since trauma is stored in the nervous system, talk therapy alone does not alleviate symptoms.  I use a mind-body treatment approach in which I incorporate cutting-edge Self-Regulation Therapy (SRT), which decreases excess activation in the nervous system and reduces symptoms in significantly less time than required by conventional therapy.

In marriage counselling, I use a combination of SRT, Framo’s Family-of-Origin Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy to help couples:

  • Examine how each partner might be repeating familiar childhood roles and attachment styles from their respective family-of-origin in their current relationship.
  • Identify and replace ineffective communication patterns in their relationship.
  • Enhance the foundation of friendship in their relationship.
  • Strengthen their conflict management ability in their relationship.
