Gina Vanderham, MA, MFT, ICADC, CEAP, SAP

Gina is a Licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist with 16 years experience and post graduate training. Her Downtown Vancouver office is conveniently located close to public transit and parking and creates accessibility for much of Metro Vancouver.
 
She helps clients heal from the suffering due to alcohol and drug abuse and other self destructive addictive behaviors including compulsive overeating, sex, shopping, problem gambling, trauma and the accompanying depression and anxiety.
 
Many of Gina's therapy clients are able to stop their addictions, improve self awareness, resolve trauma and abuse, restore intimacy in their relationships and achieve higher levels of functioning. They improve self compassion, self confidence, assertiveness and relationship skills and see permanent results in their lives.
 
In a safe and professional therapy setting, Gina supports clients in accomplishing their goals and achieving life lasting change! This can include the emotional repair of old childhood traumas and abuse using cutting edge techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a method of therapy that can help people heal faster and permanently by clearing trauma channels that act as painful triggers to present day events. It is an excellent tool for performance enhancement, assertiveness, and work performance.
 
Gina provides therapy to individuals, families, couples, and children and also consults with Organizations regarding addictions. She is an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor, a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, and a Substance Abuse Professional. She is trained in level 2 EMDR and many other therapeutic techniques to fit her client's needs.
