I am a Registered Psychologist offering individual and couples therapy in the TriCities area.

I see psychotherapy as a partnership in which we work together to build an understanding of your problems and find solutions.  Where current concerns are front and centre, we look at developing practical ways of helping you cope with or change the situation.  Where past experiences are getting in your way, we work to help you let go of the things you need to and move forward with your life.  In many cases, positive changes can be seen fairly quickly; for others, longer term therapy is necessary.  Many people find they appreciate being able to schedule periodic or 'booster' sessions with someone who knows them well, even after the main part of their work is done.

I've been a psychologist for over ten years, working in a broad range of settings providing individual and couples therapy, training to graduate students in clinical psychology, and case consultation to mental health practitioners. 

Your medical doctor may refer you, although this is not required.  Potential clients can self-refer by calling me for a brief telephone conversation, during which I will answer any questions you may have, and see if my services seem like a good fit for your concerns.
