How do I use the Professional Directory?*

You may use the directory in five ways.

1. Click on Office Location if you wish to look for a counsellor or psychologist by geographic region.

2. Click on Areas of Practice if you are looking for a counsellor or psychologist who has a particular area of practice that seems relevant to your concern. You may, on the other hand, prefer to choose a professional by reading the information provided with their listings.

3. Click on Therapeutic Approach if you are looking for a counsellor or psychologist who uses a particular theraputic approach that seems relevant to your concern. You may, on the other hand, prefer to choose a professional by reading the information provided with their listings.

4. Click on Language if you are looking for a counselling professional who is fluent in a language other than English, for the purpose of counselling. Presently CounsellingBC.com has counsellors who are able to provide services in French, Greek, German, Spanish, Africaans, Farsi, Dutch, Hebrew, Mandarin, Chinese, Spanish, Taiwanese, and Japanese. It is truly an international site.

5. Click on Name if you are looking for a particular counselling professional that you already know by name.

6. Click on All Listings if you just wish to scan through the entire list of professionals, for phone numbers, addresses, etc. This is a good page to print out if you wish to have the entire list handy.

*Choosing a counselling professional can be challenging. The philosophy of counsellingbc.com is that individuals have a right to have adequate information about the person with whom they choose to do their personal work. Please feel free to take the time that you need to read about the professionals who list their services on the site. Also feel free to talk to them about their training and the approach(es) they use with their clients.
